Black Mondo Grass has dense, clumping, grass-like evergreen foliage. The foliage emerges purple-green and changes to jet black. In the summer it produces light purple to white flowers followed by purple-black berries in the fall. The softly arching habit and short flower spikes are much like those of Liriope. Black Mondo looks best planted in mass plantings or as a border. This dramatic colored Grass is a dark adventure!
