It has large dark purple buds that open to clusters of classic deep, lilac-purple. Bloomerang® Dark Purple is a big, bold, and beautiful lilac with months of color & fragrance! Lilac (Syringa), Bloomerang®, have exceptional disease resistance. They don’t get ugly from fungus and bacteria like older lilacs can. These shrubs maintain a compact, rounded shape without pruning. If you want to prune Bloomerang® Lilacs, do it immediately after their spring flowers are finished. We recommend fertilizing with Plant-tone in the spring. Bloomerang® Lilacs prefer full sun to partial sun and well-drained soil. They look best planted as a specimen in your garden where they have plenty of space to grow, along a border, or in a container.
