Early Amethyst Beautyberry is famous for its striking clusters of metallic purple berries. It produces small, lavender-pink flowers in summer followed by these abundant, glossy, purple berries. They gracefully arch, covering Early Amethyst in late August or September and persist into early winter, even after the leaves drop. In the fall this foliage changes to a beautiful golden yellow. Plant Early Amethyst for that purple color during the fall months.
Beautyberry (Callicarpa Dichotoma) are noted for producing berry clusters that ripen in the fall and persist into the winter. They thrive in full or partial sun and prefer moist, nutrient rich, well-drained soil. Beautyberry like to be pruned in late winter or early spring, to display a more fuller, compact bush.
