Fire Light® Hydrangea has upright panicles packed with florets. These flowers emerge creamy-white in mid-summer, changing to vivid red in late summer, and a more pomegranate red in the fall. Fire Light® has thick, sturdy stems holding up its large, prominent flowers. This bush looks best as a specimen in your garden, where it has plenty of space. Fire Light® flowers are excellent additions to fresh or dried flower arrangements.
Hydrangeas (paniculata) are known for blooming on new wood every year which makes them reliable bloomers. They are also extremely hardy and cold tolerant, making them an excellent choice for gardens. Hydrangeas prefer a full to part sun. Adaptable to many soils, moderate moisture is required. Hydrangeas look best planted along borders, mass plantings, or in containers. Prune the whole plant back by about one-third its total height each spring, just as the new growth begins to emerge on stems.
