Little Lime® Hydrangea is popular for its compact habit and its reliable, color-changing blooms. Its flowers emerge as a fresh lime-green in mid-summer, transition to soft white in the summer, and age to a rich pink or burgundy in the fall. Little Lime® has sturdy, strong stems to support its heavy flower heads. It is best to cut it back in late winter to one-third of its total height each spring. Preferring moist, well-drained soil, it thrives in full sun. Little Lime® is that spring lime color that you are wishing for!
Hydrangeas (paniculata) are known for blooming on new wood every year which makes them reliable bloomers. They are also extremely hardy and cold tolerant, making them an excellent choice for gardens. Hydrangeas prefer a full to part sun. Adaptable to many soils, moderate moisture is required. Hydrangeas look best planted along borders, mass plantings, or in containers. Prune the whole plant back by about one-third its total height each spring, just as the new growth begins to emerge on stems.
