Butterfly Bushes (Buddleia) are known for fragrant flower spikes that attract butterflies and hummingbirds. They have arching stems with flowers that go all summer and throughout the fall. Butterfly Bushes need pruning in the late winter or early spring to shape them and to encourage new growth. These shrubs thrive in full sun for best blooming performance, and appreciate well-drained soil.
