Nellie Stevens Holly, also known as Ilex x ‘Nellie R. Stevens’, is an attractive evergreen. This tree is considered self-pollinating and produces an abundance of bright red berries. With loads of berries in the fall and winter, Nellie Stevens is sure to bring a beautiful winter effect to your garden! It has an upright, conical shape, and grows wide enough for a privacy screen. This versatile tree thrives in full sun or partial sun and moist, well-drained, acidic soil. Nellie Stevens Holly is low-maintenance, drought tolerant, and easy-to-grow.

Holly (Ilex) bushes are very common, hardy and easy-to-grow. They are evergreens, which give you beauty all season! Holly bushes have glossy leaves and give berries, provided that a male pollinator is nearby. One male can pollinate up to 7 females. Holly Bushes will likely need pruned in the spring to maintain their shape. These shrubs thrive in full sun or partial sun areas. They prefer well-drained, slightly acidic soil and do not like heavy soil. Holly bushes can be used for privacy hedges or as an accent in a large garden area.
