Red Dragon

Red Dragon Walking Stick is famous for its unique, intensely curled branches. New leaves emerge a dark burgundy color in the spring maturing to a bronze green by late summer. This deciduous shrub produces pendulous, smoky-purple catkins in late winter. It thrives in full sun and organically rich, well-drained soil. Walking Stick (Corylus avellana) are also known as ‘Corkscrew Hazel’ and ‘Contorted Filbert’. They are known for their twisted, corkscrew branches. They can be pruned in the late winter or early spring to remove old wood. They prefer full or partial sun. Walking Stick also feature the winter months by producing catkins throughout winter.
