Screen Topsoil is made by screening topsoil to remove all the large rocks and lumps out of it. This makes Screened Topsoil the perfect product to use for fine grading before seeding a lawn, for covering tree roots, or filling in ruts and bare spots. Screened Topsoil is also great for forming raised landscape beds.
We mix 20% Organic Compost into our topsoil while we screen. This add nutrients to the soil and keeps it from getting compacted. We can blend a higher percentage of compost with the topsoil while we load to make a garden soil. We recommend a 50/50 blend for garden beds.
We screen our own topsoil. We select our topsoil sources carefully to keep pure topsoil without subsoil in it.
