Product Description

Steeds Holly (Japanese)

Steeds Holly is an evergreen Japanese Holly with a pyramidal growth habit. It has dark green, flat leaves and is densely branched. It makes a lovely backdrop for other flowering plants. Steeds Holly produces an abundance of black berries, when pollinated by the male. These berries persist throughout the fall and winter, giving a beautiful winter effect to your garden! It prefers moist, well-drained, and slightly acidic soil. Because of its upright habit, Steeds Holly creates a perfect shear-free hedge that is ideal for tight areas!

Holly Bush

Holly (Ilex) bushes are very common, hardy and easy-to-grow. They are evergreens, which give you beauty all season! Holly bushes have glossy leaves and give berries, provided that a male pollinator is nearby. One male can pollinate up to 7 females. Holly Bushes will likely need pruned in the spring to maintain their shape. These shrubs thrive in full sun or partial sun areas. They prefer well-drained, slightly acidic soil and do not like heavy soil. Holly bushes can be used for privacy hedges or as an accent in a large garden area.
