Summer Wine® Black

Summer Wine® Black Ninebark has deep, purple-black foliage which is the darkest of any Ninebark. In the spring this foliage emerges crimson, maturing to black in the summer, and outstanding red in the fall. Its foliage alone has color all season, but also clusters of pink-white flowers cover this shrub in the spring. This disease-resistant bush grows well in full sun locations. Summer Wine® Black takes very little to no pruning with its compact habit, making it an easy choice for your garden.

Ninebark Shrub

Ninebark (Physocarpus) are known for being a hardy, native shrub. They are extremely easy to grow and low-maintenance. Ninebark are drought-tolerant and give their best color when planted in full sun. They should be pruned immediately after spring flowering. Ninebark look best planted along a border, as a stand-alone specimen, or in a privacy hedge.
