Winecraft Black®

Winecraft Black® Smokebush has rich, purple foliage in the spring, maturing to nearly black in the summer, and turning brilliant orange in the fall. In the early summer large, wispy red clusters of smoke-like flower plumes appear. These flowers contrast well with the dark, oval shaped leaves. Winecraft Black® takes very little to no pruning, except removing its finished flowers if you so desire. It prefers full sun areas and well-drained soil. Smokebush Shrub

Smokebushes (Cotinus) are known for their distinctive, feathery, flower clusters looking like smoke! They have vibrant spring foliage color, which they keep throughout the summer. Smokebushes thrive in full sun and well-drained soil. They are drought tolerant, low-maintenance, and usually do not need pruning. Smokebushes look best planted along a border, as a stand-alone specimen, or in a privacy hedge.
